Kason Havoc {6 months}

6 MONTHS OLD... Our sweet boy is half way to being ONE! I cannot believe this... how in the world did 6 months fly by SO fast! :-(  Kason has definitely blessed our lives in more ways than we can possibly describe... the love his sister has for him is unlike anything I have ever seen! I love to see the bond they share (I just hope it always lasts!)!

 

Six Month Stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 12.5 ozs - 14% (7.9 lbs at birth)
Length: 28 1/2 in - 94% (21 in at birth)

 

• He is a GREAT baby! Only crying when he is hungry or wet... or VERY TIRED! He is a totally routine baby. Mess up that routine and you are in BIG trouble!
• He wakes up around 7AM. He takes a mid-morning nap around 9. He sleeps about one hour and is back up to eat lunch and is back down for an afternoon nap at 12. He will sleep about 1-2 hours. He will occasionally take a 30-45 minute nap around 6. He goes to bed around 7PM. He is very inconsistent as to when he wakes up during the night, he is gets up for atleast 1-2 bottles. (He will eventually sleep through the night, right?! :-/)
• He has 4 ounces of breast milk with each feeding. I am still pumping and feeding full time.
• He is eating baby food at lunch and dinner!
• He is not the greatest napper. On most days, he will take a small morning nap and longer afternoon nap. Some days, they might be 10-15 minutes. For some reason, my kids just don't care for naps!

• He is wearing Size 2 diapers.
• He is wearing 6 month clothes.
• He LOVES bath time. He loves to chew on a wet towel. ha!
• He HATES the car.... and saying HATE might be a total understatement. At this time, we are avoiding any travel... even across town to the grocery store. He will seriously make you want to jump out of the car while it is moving! This is totally new to us as Hadlea always loved it!
• He has started to grab at toys and take them straight to this mouth! He is doing great with his hands!
• He is a MOMMA's boy! If you want anything to do with him, don't keep him in the same room with his momma! (...and you will never hear complaints from me on this one!)

He follows Justin, Hadlea and I's voices. If he hasn't seen one of us in a while and we walk into the room and talk, he gets SO excited!
He LOVES his sister! I think it is so strange that he totally knows her! She can smother him to death and he still gives her the cheesiest grins!
He LOVES Berkley. I think Berk gets most of the smiles and laughs these days.
He has found his voice... and likes to use it! Our house is LOUD in the evenings!
He LOVES music. Singing to him or turning on music will calm him.
He is a full time sitter upper! :) ...don't even think about laying him down!
He is starting to 'try' and crawl... or maybe scoot. I don't even think you can call it crawling!

• He smiles and kicks his feet like crazy! He is one squirmy dude! He loves to suck his toes.
• He is doing the full belly laugh. It is the cutest thing ever.
• He has decided he HATES the paci! :-( Which makes for one SUPER sad momma! I think this is why Hadlea was always good in the car or anywhere we took her. She had a paci at all times. It is totally breaking my heart!
• He sleeps in his crib in his own room. He is still swaddled. He is now sleeping on his tummy so if he cannot get his hands out, he gets mad!
• He LOVES to be outside. His favorite part of the day!
• He is still at home with our nanny, Meredith, everyday!

We love you more than you will ever know! We are so blessed to have you as a part of our family! The good Lord really knew what he was doing when he chose you for us! You are the most perfect addition and we will always be grateful to get to be apart of your life! You are one very special baby. We know you will do great thanks! I will love you forever and ever!

Our nanny had a birthday this past weekend so her cousin and I arranged a surprise party for her. It was so fun! It was good to meet her family! Although... H totally stole the candle show while we were taking their pic! Ha!

Meredith had made foot print ghosts with Kason's feet last week so Hadlea HAD to have a matching set. She was super proud! 

We went down to the pond and park to let Hadlea play on Sunday. Baby boy was just relaxing!

snoozin'

I turned the BIG 32 on Oct 12. We were not planning to do anything, but Gigi was in town so we made a last minute decision for drinks with friends on Friday. Hadlea had me a breakfast party that morning and in the afternoon, we headed to KS for my cousins wedding! It was a perfect birthday by getting to see alot of my family!

While Gigi was still in town on Sunday, I took EVERYTHING out of the playroom and cleaned and de-cluttered. Talk about feeling like your house is back in order. That room was making me CRAZY!

We went shopping one day. She just looked so big pushing brother.

I think H has an extreme hoarding issue with baby dolls and stuffed animals. I kind of wish I would have counted them. We had a long talk about donating to others. She wasn't super happy about it, but she agreed. So a trash sack full of these things are GONE!

Mr is so happy to be setting up on his own!

It just makes bath time that much more fun!

pumpkin patch 2013

This past weekend, my SIL, niece and nephew came up and we went to the pumpkin patch. We had such a fun day! Sure love them all...

poor kase. all of his toys are pink. if sissy gets to pick them out, they are pink. good thing i love pink too... because i sure dont mind... and it is not like he knows the difference, right?!

hadlea's daycare had a pink day on Oct 1 for breast cancer awareness. these babes sure look grown up!

one day... he will have teeth. and she will be sorry she attacks him on the daily!

and those teeth are coming any day. this is after about 10  mins in a new shirt. droolin' fool!

this is how i keep Kase entertained in the kitchen... or i guess i should say how i 'did' keep him entertained. he can crawl out now, so no more bumbo on the counter!

our nanny was gone one day so i kept kase while i worked {not fun!}, but he sure was the best looking co-worker around!

our nanny brought the kids back gifts from her last trip.... kase some Halloween pjs and hadlea a cup and a pink fox. taking a pic of them was just crazy!

a little BS and the weekend!

This past weekend, my mom, Aunt 'Decky' (as Hadlea calls her), my friend Jennifer and her daughter, Ady, came into town for the Blake Shelton concert. We are all totally Team BS. I swear he gets cuter with age! And is funny... I would totally have him stand around and talk/tell stories any day rather than sing! We had such a great time!!

Jennifer and Ady stayed at our house so the girls got in some playtime! So thankful these two are the best of friends! Cannot wait for future girls trips together!

My mom and aunt were babysitting Kayman for the weekend so we went over to see them for a little bit on Saturday. There was so much I wanted to do on Saturday, but of course it was rainy and cold! It was a good play day for the kids! With Kason and Kayman both sitting up now, they are really starting to notice each other! So freaking cute!!

On Sunday, we got to watch the Cowboys play the Broncos. No comment! Good thing I have the cutest fans around!

Hadlea got in some more dressup time! She is so ready for Halloween and to wear her cute little costume! Cannot wait to share those pics!

High 5s during the Dallas game!

Our sweet Berkley got bit on the foot by a spider. It kept swelling and was to the point he wouldn't put any pressure on it. Justin took him to the vet on Sunday. They had to shave his paw and give him a shot. Sweet boy just acted miserable and snuggled with sissy's bunny. He is now on the mend!

cousins weekend

Last weekend, we headed to my granny's to meet up with my brother and cousins. We were wanting to get all of the great grandkids together for a weekend. We headed out early Saturday morning. Kason is AWFUL in the car... but thankfully he slept atleast 20 minutes of the 2.5 hour drive! He is so sweet! :-/

We arrived in time to meet the cousins and have lunch!

And funny but not funny... my Granny wanted a picture by herself for her obituary! I am pretty sure I have taken one of her every time we have seen her over the last 2 or 3 years. It is now a total joke for our family. {she gone... another inside joke, but totally makes me LOL!}

And our sweet boy was so worn out from all of the fun, he slept all but 30 minutes of the drive home!

So glad we were all able to get together! I really forget how much fun we all have together! Let's not wait so long to do it again! Love you all so very much! <3 p="">
