happy thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

I find myself being more thankful this year than ever. I am so ready to be home (in Medford)  for Thanksgiving. I am so ready to get my tree up and enjoy the Christmas spirit. Never in my life did I think I would have two perfect babies. They might make my life crazy, hectic and chaotic, but I wouldn't trade those days for anything! The good Lord continues to bless us... and we will always be thankful for the two greatest gifts He gave us!

hadlea was gone one day, so mason (our neighbor) came over to play. he was fine letting me dress him up!

Kason Havoc {7 months}

Oh Kason Havoc... you are seriously the light of our entire house. But this last month, you have decided to go from the sweetest baby to our little stress basket! However, we still love you... even more than we did last month! :-) ...still not sure how that is even possible! It does help that you are THE cutest little thing we have ever experienced!

• He is a good baby... {if you remember correctly, this used to say GREAT baby... but someone has taken my GREAT baby and has replaced him with a good baby. he is good, but he eats non-stop and doesn't sleep. good thing he is still cute or he might just be BAD!} He is a routine baby. Break that routine and you are in BIG trouble.
• He wakes up around 7AM. He takes a mid-morning nap around 9. He sleeps about one hour and is back up to eat lunch and is back down for an afternoon nap at 12. He will sleep about 1-2 hours. He will occasionally take a 30-45 minute nap around 6. He goes to bed around 7PM. He is very inconsistent as to when he wakes up during the night, he is gets up for atleast 1-2 bottles. (He will eventually sleep through the night, right?! :-/)
• The above schedule is the 'norm'. But I am hoping these last 3 weeks are NOT the new norm. He is waking up 4-6 times a night to eat. I thought the first week or two was just a growth spurt, but he is still doing it and is not napping on routine. He. Is. Killing. Us. Slowly! :-)
• He has 4 ounces of breast milk with each feeding. I am still pumping and feeding full time.
• He is eating baby food at lunch and dinner!
• He is drinking water with each meal. He can drink out of a sippy cup and a straw.
• He is not the greatest napper. On most days, he will take a small morning nap and longer afternoon nap. Some days, they might be 10-15 minutes. For some reason, my kids just don't care for naps!

• He has TWO teeth!
• He is wearing Size 2 diapers.
• He is wearing 6 month and 6-9 month clothes.
• He LOVES bath time. He loves to chew on a wet towel. ha!
• He HATES the car.... and saying HATE might be a total understatement. At this time, we are avoiding any travel... even across town to the grocery store. He will seriously make you want to jump out of the car while it is moving! This is totally new to us as Hadlea always loved it!

• He grabs everything in site! ...his favorite being hair!
• He is a MOMMA's boy! If you want anything to do with him, don't keep him in the same room with his momma! (...and you will never hear complaints from me on this one!)
• He follows Justin, Hadlea and I's voices. If he hasn't seen one of us in a while and we walk into the room and talk, he gets SO excited!
• He LOVES his sister!
• He LOVES Berkley. I think Berk gets most of the smiles and laughs these days.

 

• He has found his voice... and likes to use it! Our house is LOUD in the evenings!
• He LOVES music. Singing to him or turning on music will calm him.
• He is a full time sitter upper! :) ...don't even think about laying him down!
• He is starting to 'try' and crawl... or maybe scoot. I don't even think you can call it crawling!
• He will try to pull up on things and get his feet underneath him.
• He smiles and kicks his feet like crazy! He is one squirmy dude! He loves to suck his toes.

• He is doing the full belly laugh. It is the cutest thing ever.
• He still doesn't take a paci. But you can bet I am still ordering different kinds in hopes he will change his mind! :)
• He sleeps swaddled in his crib in his own room.
• He LOVES to be outside. His favorite part of the day!
• He is still at home with our nanny, Meredith, everyday!

Happy Halloween...

 

better late than never, right?! :-)

 

I have missed blogging SO much... and I hope I can get back to doing it on a regular basis. Our world is kind of crazy... I am going back into the office 3 days a week and we have a baby boy that has decided that sleep just isn't for him... so our evenings are pretty pure chaos... hopefully I can do a post on all of that eventually. In the mean time... check out my babies...

Kason Havoc {6 months}

6 MONTHS OLD... Our sweet boy is half way to being ONE! I cannot believe this... how in the world did 6 months fly by SO fast! :-(  Kason has definitely blessed our lives in more ways than we can possibly describe... the love his sister has for him is unlike anything I have ever seen! I love to see the bond they share (I just hope it always lasts!)!

 

Six Month Stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 12.5 ozs - 14% (7.9 lbs at birth)
Length: 28 1/2 in - 94% (21 in at birth)

 

• He is a GREAT baby! Only crying when he is hungry or wet... or VERY TIRED! He is a totally routine baby. Mess up that routine and you are in BIG trouble!

• He sleeps in his crib in his own room. He is still swaddled. He is now sleeping on his tummy so if he cannot get his hands out, he gets mad!
• He LOVES to be outside. His favorite part of the day!
• He is still at home with our nanny, Meredith, everyday!

We love you more than you will ever know! We are so blessed to have you as a part of our family! The good Lord really knew what he was doing when he chose you for us! You are the most perfect addition and we will always be grateful to get to be apart of your life! You are one very special baby. We know you will do great thanks! I will love you forever and ever!
