we are buying a house??

and yes, that title has question marks in it!
what in the good Lord are we thinking?!

They accepted our offer last night after ALOT of counters! Holy cow people are stubborn! And no... it wasn't me! Ha!

So here is how this thing kinda played out... We have been looking at two specific neighborhoods for a couple of years now. We Justin has been dead set in getting out of our neighborhood. I told him, "go look. buy whatever you want. I require 4 things: 4 bedrooms, 3 car garage, a pool and no white tile. {we have white tile in our house now. if we stay here any longer, it WILL be the death of me. I mop almost every single night and it doesn't matter, it shows everything! and you would have thought I would have changed it when we first moved in, however, when we bought the house, we only planned to live here 2 years... 6 years, a dog and a baby later, we are still freaking here! my choice. not Justin's! Ha!} So anyway... I told Justin to buy whatever he wanted... obviously he must have thought I was kidding. I wasn't.

So a month or two ago, some friends moved into town from Arkansas. They bought in one of the neighborhoods we were looking in. We started going over, taking walks and we just fell in LOVE with the place. Several young families, young kids. Just perfect!

About two weeks ago, my friend Deanna sent me a text and said, "there is a house for sale two doors down, come look." So after dinner one night, we did. We didn't end up liking the house, but I LOVED another one down the street. I set up an appointment the next day to look at it with our realtor. I LOVED the inside as much as the outside, however, 3 bedrooms and a 2 car garage were not on our list! :( {and notice 'I' set up an appointment by myself. and went and looked myself. without Justin. WHY does this happen to me?!} So after not liking it, our realtor said, I will set up appointments at every 4 bedroom/3 car garage house in the neighborhood. Come back tomorrow at 6 and let's just look.

And that is how we found it! 3rd house we looked at, and I knew I wasn't convincing Justin to look elsewhere. Now... I didn't LOVE this house at first, but I didn't LOVE the house we are in now at first. I am AWFUL at visualizing stuff so it is hard for me to see my ideas come to life. But I SO wish we could pick up our current house and move it to that neighborhood. I would be totally fine with that!

And although I have no good pictures of our house with me... I have this... the MAIN reasons we bought the house...

my #1 reason. the pool.
justin's #1 reason. the ponds. there are 3 of them. that boy will be in heaven and NEVER come home!
hadlea's #1 reason. the playgrounds. there are 3 of them too!
and I guess I will need the walking trails after I lay at the pool and consume fun drinks all day! :-)

The minor house details:
4 bedroom + office
3 car garage
1/4 acre lot
brown tile! :)

We close in 1 month. So much to do... so much to stress over!  :-)
House pictures to come once we close!
