October 6 will now be on my calendar as the day as I have dreaded for so many years. My grandad went to be with the Lord. This was my first grandparent to lose. I am so thankful for the years I got with my grandad, and I am so thankful he was able to meet Hadlea.
She will never remember meeting him, but I will have pictures to show her of her great-grandad. And man did he love her! He used to rave and rave about how smart his great-grandkids were! I am positive he told everyone about them and how they were the smartest kids on the planet! :-)
My Granny and Grandad did everything they could to attend my brother and I's sporting events. No matter how far the drive might have been, if they could make it, they were there! They will honestly never know what that meant to us. It is a great feeling as an adult to know that your grandparents loved and cared for you with everything they had.
I have no doubts that my Grandaddy is in heaven right now... seeing his other family members along with my cousin, Malisa. I am so jealous he is seeing her. But we have two amazing guardian angels now. Hadlea is now more than double protected! :-)
My grandparents are two of the most amazing, caring people in this world. They are giving... to their families, friends and church. They have instilled strong values in each of us that I hope I can also pass down to Hadlea.

What a beautiful tribute to your grandfather. Have you happened to read Heaven is for Real? If not, definitely get it. It doesn't make it any easier when you lose someone you love, but gives such great hope that our loved ones are with us and watching over us. Xo!!
I'm so sorry for your lose. I'll be praying for peace and comfort during this time. It's such a blessing that he was able to be in Hadlea's life. Hadlea is just gorgeous and getting so big, by the way! I finally got a chance to get caught up on some of your recent posts.
Love you sweet girl. He definitely knew how much you loved him. He was such a great grandpa to you guys. Praying for you all.
