painted toes & our week so far

**Updated to add a picture of Hadlea and Finley having lunch... thanks to Katie!**

Monday, Hadlea was up and ready for daycare! She wanted to wear her Mr Potato Head glasses for her morning picture, but couldn't figure out how to keep them on! She was crackin' me up!
I picked her up from daycare after work since dadda was working late. I didn't notice until we got home that the girls at daycare had painted her toenails! ...a nice shade of green!? {I do not mind at all that they painted her toes, I just find it funny/strange that they didn't ask. Is that weird?! of me or them?!} I have never painted her nails or toes. I just wasn't ready. Mainly because I thought they would look terrible since she doesn't hold still for more than 2 minutes at a time. But, they actually look good. And cute! And she LOVED them! She was so proud and kept showing us "toes, toes". So I guess that's all that matters! :)
watching Blues Clues... who else?!
our current problem.
finger in nose! Grosses.Me.Out!
Tuesday, I got off of work and headed to pick up H from daycare. We went straight to the Roumbanis' house for a swim and to eat dinner! Dadda came after getting off of work too. We played in their neighborhood... at the splash park, the pool and then while the girls went to cook dinner, the boys walked down to the pond to fish! Jackson caught a really nice fish on his little pole! He was one proud boy!
It was nice to see Fred, Julie and Jackson since they have gone for the past 3 months traveling. Julie is now 6 months pregnant with baby boy, Avery William. Definitely cannot wait to meet his sweet face come the end of September!
Wednesday, I took the day off of work! I hardly ever take off during the middle of the week because the days are so crazy! But, I had forgot to make Hadlea's 18 month appointment. When they called to remind me, the only thing I could get was in the middle of the day. By the time her appt was over, it would be time for a lunch and nap so I couldn't take her straight back to daycare. So... I just took the day off! It was so great to get up and spend the day with this funny face...
She is SO funny! Instead of saying 'cheese' in the picture above she started yelling, 'ooooo'! No idea where she comes up with this stuff!
And of course, anything she does, Berkley has to do it too! She was so proud to take a picture in her new boots with her bubba! She kept getting in his face saying, 'boots. boots'... like he cares if she got some new boots! Ha!
And thanks to Poppa for the boots! I had been wanting to get Hadlea some for a while to wear with a couple of dresses. He had told me a while back he wanted to buy her some, so I picked these up the other day and made sure he got the word that he 'owed' me money! :-) Thanks Poppa!
only if they were a little easier to get on!
Later that morning, we headed to her doctor's appointment. And no better way to keep her busy than to give her a sticker... which she can stick on every body part and name! Ha!
She had to get her last shot until she is 4! PTL! I hate those things so bad! She always cries for a few seconds and then is done! She definitely handles it better than I do! And her stats... long and a woppin' 22 {ALMOST 23} pounds! :)

18 Month Stats:
Length: 32.5 in - 69%
Weight: 22lbs 8oz - 22%
Head: 46cm - 32%

After her appointment, we called Allison and Finley to meet for lunch! We actually got to meet up with her sister, Katie, and Katie's husband, Tommy, too! We met at the Sage Culinary Studio where they have a new Grilled Cheese Melt Bar! It was so amazing! I will definitely be hitting that place again!
After lunch, we headed to Alan and Amanda's for a swim! The girls were beginning to get tired so the swim didn't last long before they needed a snack! Allison and I got in alot of girl talk, which is always fun! Thanks for meeting us Allison and Ms Fin! Always a great time!
Once we were done swimming, we headed home for nap time. Once H was up (she slept 3 hours. awesome!) and dadda got home, we cooked out on the grill and then played some games and read some books! Fun family evening!

Sunday Funday

Sunday, we had a nice relaxing day! We got up and ready for church!

Oh.My.Goodness... there are just some pictures that I see of Hadlea that I can honestly NOT believe she is my baby! She is just the most beautiful thing EVER! How on earth did I ever produce something so gorgeous?! And yes, I know I am MAJORLY biased! :-)
She wore a dress Nana had bought her. Justin and I kept telling her how cute she was and she just beamed from ear to ear! She was more than willing to have her picture taken! She just stood there and said, "Cheese" about 20 times!
I wonder on a daily basis why God thinks I deserve something so perfect!? She is definitely the most perfect gift that anyone could have ever given me! I am just so thankful for her... it just brings me to tears thinking about how thankful I am to Him for her! I mean... really?! They just don't get much more perfect...
And to her... nothing is much more perfect than her bubba! He might disagree or believe otherwise with that face! Ha!
my baby girl and me!
my babies. big and little!
I hadn't take a picture of Justin's Father's Day gift from Hadlea so I made him hold it! She was so proud!
After church, we picked up lunch and brought it home to eat. Justin and Hadlea changed into some comfy clothes for a nap!
She was SO tired, but fought her sleep to the bitter end... at one point, she was asleep sitting up! I could NOT stop laughing watching the monitor!
My other baby needed a nap too! Sweet boy...
After a nap, we headed to Alan and Amanda's to swim. Hadlea is a fish and is not scared in the slightest to jump right in! We definitely have to watch her! Alan and Justin went and picked up dinner so we ate out by the pool! Such a fun evening... and Hadlea is loving A&A more and more!

Basquez Bash

This past Saturday, we attended the 'Basquez Bash'! {Basquez (pronounced Boss-key) is Justin's mom's maiden name} This was a get-together for Justin's mom's family! {her 3 brothers, 1 sister and all of the kids/grandkids} 34 people attended and we all had a great time! It was at Rusty and Nana's house on the ranch. They had alot of stuff lined up for the kids and adults to do for entertainment. We also had a GREAT lunch... those Mexican people sure know how to cook! :) {Nana's dad was full blood Mexican and her mom was Caucasian... which makes Hadlea an 1/8 Mexican... which is where she gets her AMAZING skin. Have I mentioned she is already darker than I am, and I put 60 spf on her when we are outside!? Jealous!}

We headed out to Rusty and Nana's around 11AM. I had forgot to take a pic of Hadlea before we left... I LOVED her outfit! ...which we had given to us!
While we were waiting on everyone to arrive, Hadlea played in Riley and Hannah's room. She LOVES Hannah's babies and the kitchen! I guess we will be investing in one of those soon!
The family! ...minus Rusty and I. Rusty had cows out and I was taking the picture! (Justin's cousin Megan took a picture of the group with me in it and then we plan to photoshop each other in. I will replace this picture with both of us once we do our photoshopping.)
The boys played horse shoes...
The little babes had fun playing horse shoes and throwing water balloons at each other!
The bounce house! ...Hadlea's favorite with Jace and Alyvia.
Mahiya, Hannah and Hadlea... Hadlea had so much fun playing with the big girls! She laughed and squealed the entire time! Funny story... Hannah was doing a trick and wanted to show her Uncle Justin so she started yelling, "Justin"! And little Ms Mocker started yelling, "Jus-in. Jus-in"! It was SO cute! She has called him Jus-in twice since being home! Ha! He reminds her, "I'm dadda"! :-)
Rusty took us over to the horses so she could ride one...
She wouldn't get on without momma! And she still didn't know what to think once we were on!
When we got in, she wanted a 'nack' (snack). So she set down and ate cheese and crackers with Rusty! I don't think he really wanted to lick the cheese off of her finger! Ha!

She sat with Rusty on the porch and watched some of the other kids playing. We hurried and got a picture with Riley and Hannah before her next move!
Thanks to Rusty and Nana for having it! It was a great time with family we do not see often enough! Some of them had never seen Hadlea or maybe seen her right after she was born. It is always fun to show off your kids.. and of course, she LOVED to play with the other kids. It always takes her a while to warm up, but once she does, she is FULL speed!

project 365 - week 25

You can find week 24 here!

Water park and carnival with Gigi! While dadda and I were on our 'adult only' lake weekend, Gigi and Hadlea spent the day at Big Splash and the carnival! Regardless of Hadlea's face here, Gigi said she LOVED it! :)
Happy Father's Day! Hadlea got to spend the afternoon swimming at Uncle Alan and Aunt Amanda's! Of course Uncle Alan (her Godfather) spoiled her with a popsicle before she had to go home!
Visit from the cousins! Brandon, Leslie, Riley and Hannah came over for a cookout, to play in the pool and pop some snap fireworks! Hadlea is LOVING Riley and Hannah! And no idea what my niece is doing in this picture... this fits her personality perfect! She is just hilarious!
Ready for daycare! Hadlea was dressed and ready for daycare, but doesn't look like she was really awake!
Swimming in our clothes! After daycare, Hadlea and I went to swing in the backyard, and the next thing I knew she was in the pool... clothes and all! Oh well... clothes wash and she had a great time!
She's a dipper! Hadlea has to dip EVERYTHING these days! First I thought it was fun and new for her and now it drives me crazy! :) We are trying to stop the dipping with every meal! Ha! I gave her ketchup one day just because I was curious... she LOVED it too!
Bettin' on the 'horsies'! Justin, Hadlea and I went to our local fair grounds to watch the horse races! She loved to run around and look at the horses. She wasn't so crazy about them as they ran in front of us, but as soon as they did go by, she was waving them to come back! She always provides just as much entertainment as whatever we are watching! :-)

thurs and fri...

I have been working on cleaning out Hadlea's dresser and closet. Oh.My.Word this little girl officially has more clothes than I do! I cleaned out 3 trash bags of 6 through 12 month clothes. I believe it is about time to STOP buying clothes! We have had so many generous people give Hadlea clothes that I am pretty sure I will not have to buy for another year! I am VERY thankful for that... however, I still HAVE to learn that she doesn't.need.a.thing, and that I can stop buying immediately!

Thursday, Nana came to keep Hadlea while dadda fished and I went to the gym and she brings the CUTEST outfits! Nana always has great taste and never fails in the clothes department!

After Nana left, Hadlea and I ate and played before bedtime. Hadlea is in to 'dipping' everything. I made us a salad and some chicken. When I put the chicken on her tray she started saying, 'dip, dip, dip'. I gave her some ketchup to see if she would eat it... and she LOVED it! I don't think I have given her one thing to dip that she hasn't loved.

When we were playing, she found the pot holders and thought they were boots... silly girl!
Friday after work and picking H up from daycare, we headed to the horse races. They have horse races here in Tulsa through June and July. It is free to get in and you can make cheap bets, so always a fun, cheap activity! Hadlea loved it and squealed everytime the 'horsies' ran by!
She loved watching the horses walk around, LOVED some CFA sweet tea and climbing the fence with dadda!
My baby girl.
Goodness... I LOVE her so much!
And just when I think she is looking JUST like me, she has a day of looking like her dadda!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! We have a weekend full of family and friends! Cannot wait!
