the last few days...

I never intentionally take a blogging break, but it seems to happen more and more! However, we are busy gearing up for the BIG 1st Birthday and Christmas... which reminds I should REALLY start Christmas shopping! I am just at a loss as to what to buy people, and it is really sneaking up on me! Oh well... it always comes together, right?! :)

Hadlea seems to be getting smarter by the day! She is WALKING EVERYWHERE... which makes me laugh and scares me all at the same time. I have some video of her walking so I will try to get it posted soon. She has also learned to snap her fingers... well, she tries! It is hysterical! I guess Berkley gets snapped at alot, and she has definitely picked up on it. She is always looking at him, shaking her head no and snapping. I would say we don't encourage her to do it, but that would be a lie! Ha!

Today, I took off work early to go to Oklahoma City with my soon to be SIL and her mom to try on wedding dresses! She found her dress and reception dress... and OMGoodness... she looked beautiful! Everyone knows how I feel about Amanda and it took all I had not to break out into tears. I am just so happy to be getting her as a SIL... but more than anything, I am so happy that my brother found his soul mate. They are definitely made for each other!

Today, my friend Deanna, her daughter, Courtney, and new baby boy, Briggs, came to stay the night! Hadlea was asleep before they got here, so she will be super excited to see a 'baby' when she wakes up! We played with Briggs, and he was so full of coos and smiles! It makes it so hard to realize that I will have a 1 year old baby girl in a week! It seems like yesterday that Justin and I were laying in the floor with Hadlea and listening to those same sounds! Where does the time go?!

Hadlea has also learned to say 'hello' and hold the phone to her ear. She pretty much does it with everything and hello sounds more like 'lo'! It is the cutest thing now... but I am sure it will not be in 13 years when we cannot get her off! :)

Hope everyone had a great week! We are playing and shopping with the Madera's tomorrow, dinner with friends tomorrow night and then Sunday is cleaning day for the party... counting down the days for Shannan and the girls to get back into town as well! My brother, Jake, has his second surgery on Hadlea's 1st birthday, 12/9. If you think about it, please say a prayer for him and the doctors! Hopefully this will get him back to his old self! We cannot wait! Enjoy your weekend...
