Happy 1st Birthday, Hadlea!

Oh Hadlea... You are 1 YEAR OLD! I just sit and cry like a big baby with the thought that it has already been 1 whole year since the day we met you! You are becoming more of a toddler with each day... which makes me sad and happy all at the same time! You have the most amazing personality and are constantly cracking us up! It amazes me with the things you come up with... like snapping your fingers at Berkley. I had no idea we even did that, but you did, and you think it is so funny to snap and tell him no-no about everything! Ha! You LOVE your babies! You tell them hello (or 'lo) all of the time and kiss and hug them 100 times a day! I cannot tell you how good that makes your momma feel! It tells me that we have taught you to love... and you love with all of your heart! My heart about explodes every time you come and give me a hug or kiss, or see you kiss your daddy, or see you try to lay on Berkley and give him a hug! I cannot even put into words how much I love you sweet girl, but know, just as I tell you every night, I love you to the moon and back.... times a million! You are just so perfect... even with your terrible 2 tantrums, and yes, I know you are not close to 2... but girlfriend, you can throw yourself down on the ground and kick your feet like nothing I have ever seen! :) But no matter how you act, you are still the most perfect thing ever... and that will NEVER change! You are a blessing only God can give us and we will continue to thank him for choosing us to be your parents! That is something we will NEVER take for granted!

We had the tutu pictures taken by Sullivan Photography, and I took the smash cake pictures. I was very pleased with all of them... My 1 year old baby girl!!

What is Hadlea up to?!

She is eating all table food. She is eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with 2-3 snack times. She has a bottle 3 times a day... when she wakes up in the morning, at naptime and at bedtime. (I think we could cut out the bottles at anytime and go to sippy cups.)
She is eats anything she can pick up on her own.
She is eating with a fork and will eat twice as much as long as she has one!
She is drinking apple and grape juice and Gatorade. But loves water the most!
She is eating yogurt, cereal, crackers, string cheese and fruit for snacks.

She is sleeping 10-12 hours at night!
Her schedule: 4 ounces at 8AM with some oatmeal or cereal bar, snack at 9AM once she arrives at daycare, lunch at 12PM, a bottle and nap at 1PM, snack at 3PM, sometimes another snack and/or bottle at 5PM when we pick her up from daycare, dinner at 6PM, bathtime, bottle and bed at 8PM.
She now has 8 teeth... 2 front top, 2 front bottom, 2 bottom molars, 2 top molars!

She is in size 3 diapers.
She wears a size 3 shoe (and some 4s).
She still takes a pacifier.
She LOVES bath time and says 'ba' for bath.
She is wearing 9 and 12 month clothes.
She cannot stand to have her diaper or clothes changed! It is a daily struggle!

She still has major separation issues from momma and daddy.
She gets to spend Tuesday and Thursday evenings with her daddy while momma goes to the gym.
She LOVES Berkley. She tries to lay on him, takes his toys and they play tug of war.
She is saying bubba, dadda, no-no, hi, momma, bobble(bottle), bobble(pacifier), bye-bye(when someone leaves or when she wants to go outside), uh-oh, doe-ggy(for doggy), buck(for a deer), and baby, ba(bath), lo(hello), shh(shoes), shh(fish).
She knows her hair, eyes, feet, ears, nose and sometimes belly.

She growls at her daddy everytime she sees him... we have no idea what that is about!
She waves and says Hi to everyone she sees!
She puts anything to her ear that resembles a phone and says, 'lo (for hello)!
She pats her chest when I say, "Where's momma?".
She will 'try' to put on her shoes and/or socks when you ask her to put them on her feet.
She is constantly taking her shoes and socks off! They are impossible to keep on!
She LOVES shutting doors. She will crawl into any room and shut the door, even in the dark! Once we open, she says, 'boo' and smiles!
She is always clapping! She obviously gets tons of praise at home! :)
She makes a kissing sound with her lips when you say, "give me a kiss"!
She is blowing kisses and hardly every gives mouth kisses anymore.
She shakes her head and shakes her finger when you say, "no-no"!
She tries to snap her fingers.

She loves to brush her own hair.
She is WALKING!!
She is climbing on everything. (fireplace, chairs, into and out of boxes/baskets)
She LOVES music!
She is a dancing machine. Music starts, and she starts bouncing!
She LOVES other kids. She just wants to touch them!

She is a super happy baby. We are always having people comment on how smiley she is!
She is noisy! She is always making noises: laughing, squealing, grunting, etc! She loves attention and will do anything in public to get it!
She started at an in-home daycare at the end of October... the drop-offs are rough, but she is always very happy when we pick her up.
She loves to be outside!
She is in her crib in her own room.
