a very special birthday...

Happy Birthday, Grammie!

Today is my mom's birthday. I know growing up that I always took her for granted. I still do, and I hope to do better in showing her how much she means to me going forward. She means more to Justin, Hadlea and I than she will ever know. She is always there for us... no matter what.  She has an awesome relationship with my husband...(most guys think their mom-in-law's are the devil! :) Justin is always calling my mom for advice... or if he wants something and he knows she will take care of getting it! Ha! My mom is the most unselfish person I have ever met. She NEVER puts herself first in any situation. Growing up, she always put my brother's and I before anyone, including my dad. My poor dad was always in the back seat! Thanks, dad! :) I have NO idea how my mom made it with 3 kids! I have 1 and have to take life one day at a time! :) And regarding my mom as a Grammie... she is the best, EVER! Since Hadlea has been born, my brother's, Justin and I have moved to the backseat with my dad! But that is fine by me! The minute she walks in the door Hadlea crawls straight to her, and my heart explodes into a milltion pieces. I love to hear them laugh together as I know they are building a great relationship. My grandparents have always been so special to me, and I have always prayed for that same relationship for Hadlea and Grammie.

Mom/Grammie,

I really wish there were words to describe what you mean to our entire family. You are the most caring, selfless person I have ever met. I hope and pray that I will be half the mother to Hadlea that you have been to the rest of our family. Thanks for being my very best friend and the one we all KNOW we can count on. We love you so much!
