Happy 9 Months, Hadlea!

I feel like I was just writing Hadlea's 8 month post last week! The weeks are FLYING by at rapid speed! I know I was really late with her 8 month post so it really wasn't that long ago that I was writing it, but it is almost impossible to think I have a 9 month old baby girl! She is just the most perfect thing I have ever experienced. {Do you start to feel like you know exactly what I am going to write in my monthly posts!? Ha!} I love this girl more than life itself...I mean, how could you not?! Look at this face...
{that grin. those cheeks. those big brown eyes.}
{those two bottom teeth. those earrings.}
{that crazy hair.}
i love her more than she will ever know!
 Monthly Comparison: 6/7/8/9 Months
Hadlea had her 9 month checkup today! We got to meet with Dr Z who seen Hadlea when she was in special care after she was born. He is an amazing Dr, and I completely trust him. I had several questions about Hadlea's diet and eating schedule. He assured me I was doing everything right. I am not used to skinny babies and I am always nervous that she doesn't weigh very much, but you can definitely tell she is not under fed! :)
Here are her stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 11 oz - 16%
Height: 28 1/4 in - 75%
Head: 43 cm - 23%
{NOTE: In my 8 month post, I guessed she was weighing around 19lbs...WRONG!}

While we were waiting on Dr Z, Hadlea decided to wave at all of the cars passing by outside. We got the room right across from Utica Square...which if you are not from Tulsa, it is the high end shopping area. I told Hadlea that daddy would take her shopping there if she didn't cry when she got a shot! Ha! {it didn't work}
And again, the paper was the greatest entertainment!
Hadlea got a finger poke to check her iron levels. Hopefully she is super healthy! After that, she couldn't take her eyes off of her band aid! She didn't cry one bit when they poked her finger for blood, but she lost it when she got the flu shot! Poor baby! It was so sad! :(
What is Hadlea up to?!
  • She is eating every 3 hours during the day, anywhere from 2-6 ounces. She is NEVER consistent.
  • She eats solid food two times a day....whole fruit, yogurt, whole peas, green beans, carrots hamburger, ham and cheese. She is drinking apple and grape juice. But loves water the most!
  • She is sleeping 10-12 hours at night!
  • Her schedule: 4-6 ounces at 8AM, 3-4 ounces at 11AM, solid food after 11AM bottle, 3-4 ounces at 2PM, 1-2 hour nap, then 3-4 ounces at 5PM, dinner at 7PM, then bath time, 3-5 ounces at 8PM, and then bed between 8-9PM.
  • She is eating puffs, yogurt melts, crackers, string cheese and fruit for snacks.
  • She still only has two teeth (on the bottom)
  • She is in size 2 diapers.
  • She wears a size 2 shoe.
  • She is a pacifier baby! (and we still leave 3 in her crib at all times!)
  • She LOVES bath time. (She is still in her bath tub inside our master bath.)
  • She loves to splash!
  • She is wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes.

  • She has major separation issues from momma and daddy. She is starting to know a few more people that she will go to immediately.
  • She gets to spend Tuesday and Thursday evenings with her daddy while momma goes to the gym.
  • She LOVES Berkley and is so excited to see him every morning!
  • She is saying bubba, dadda, no-no, hi and momma. (MOMMA, finally! :)
  • She waves and says Hi to everyone she sees!
  • She claps when you say, "Yeah"!
  • She makes a kissing sound with her lips when you say, "give me a kiss"!
  • She LOVES to give open mouth kisses!
  • She shakes her head when you say, "no-no"!
  • She is crawling...EVERYWHERE! Baby proofing is in full force!
  • She is pulling up on everything!
  • She has let go and stood on her own a few times!
  • She is loving all of her toys. She loves any of them that play music.
  • She LOVES other kids. She just wants to touch them!
  • She loves music videos on CMT. She will sit and watch them for hours!
  • She is the happiest when she wakes up from sleeping and gives the biggest smile.
  • She is noisy! She is always making noises: laughing, squealing, grunting, etc! She loves attention and will do anything in public to get it!
  • She gets to stay at home every day with me. The nanny, Ashli, and her son Michael come to the house every day.
  • She loves to be outside! Especially watching Berkley run around!
  • She loves to drink water out of a cup.
  • She is in her crib in her own room.
After the doctor and work, we ran a couple of errands and went out to eat. Think Hadlea is comfortable in her carseat watching her DVD Player!? Notice the crossed feet? She is just so funny!
Hadlea Easton,
There are not words to describe how much I love you. You are the most perfect thing that your daddy and I have ever experienced. We pray for you daily...that you will always be happy, healthy and a loving Christian. You will always be my very best friend. I hope that you know you can always count on me and will to come to me with any issues. I know those things are years from now, but the days, weeks and months are going so fast that before I know it, you will be grown...although right now I am fine with you never growing up. And you never have to move out if you do not want to! :) Your daddy and I enjoy every single moment we get with you. You have our undivided attention at home and are our nightly entertainment! We have so much fun watching you grow and seeing each new stage you go through. I love you so much sweet girl! You are the greatest thing, EVER...and I hope and pray you never let anything make you think differently!! Love Always, Momma...

We have another busy weekend! Go figure! Justin is fishing and preparing for his end of year tournament. H and I are off tomorrow to a baby shower for our cousin's Joey and Stephanie for baby Jax. And then that evening we will drive to Medford for a wedding reception for Justin and LaTisha, who I went to high school with! Should be a great weekend getting to see family and old friends!

Happy 9 months, Hadlea! I really can't believe how smiley and cute she is. I just want to reach through the computer screen and give her a hug! I always look forward to seeing Hadlea's "month" update because she starts off my blogging baby friends monthly birthday cycle. Asher turns 9 months tomorrow! :o)
