Nana and Rusty (Justin's mom and step-dad) have been building a new house since the end of last year. It is almost complete and looks amazing. I really need to take pictures and post before and after. Their previous house exploded from a gas link. Nana, Rusty, Riley and Hannah were all in the house. Thankfully, no one was killed. Seriously..I have no idea how they were all not injured more severely! Rusty had 3rd degree burns on his arms, hands and face. Nana had some broken fingers and some really burnt hair! (Sorry, Nana! :) NOTHING happened to the kids! It is beyond crazy!

They started pouring the steps and sidewalks around the house today. Rusty wanted all of the grandkids feet and hand prints in the steps going into the house. I took off at lunch and drove Hadlea over there. We had to wait for the cement to settle so we had some time inside the house...Riley and Hannah took turns taking pictures with the camera! :)

oh.my.goodness...Hadlea's foot is so tiny!

So many people told us how super blessed we were that Hadlea starting sleeping through the night when she was close to a month old. We were actually waking her up to eat every 3 hours, per our pediatrician, until we gave up and started letting her tell us when she was hungry, which was normally around 7am. Well...recently we learned how spoiled we really were! :) She has started waking up between 3 and 5am...STARVING! We can hardly get up, fix a bottle, change her and get the bottle in her mouth before she completely loses it! Our pediatrician told us at our last appointment to continue to feed her formula until we come back for her 4 month appointment, but I just cannot wait another 2 weeks if she is starving! We decided to try some cereal and see how it went....let's just say we had ALOT of laughs!I mixed up less than a Tablespoon and hand-fed her a couple of bites...her faces were hilarious! I then put the rest in her bottle. I checked on her a million times after she went to bed make sure she wasn't having an allergic reaction! :) What can I say...it's the first time momma in me! Ha!

too big, too fast...

I sure think so! Hadlea has decided that she doesn't like to lie on her back anymore. If you lay her down, she will arch her back and straighten her legs and most likely, cry! :) Isn't she too young for tantrums! She is ONLY 3 months! Well out came the boppy and she seems to love it. She holds her head up so well! As a first time momma, I had no idea that they could do it so soon and for so long! She is just growing too fast!

And someone else in our house loves the boppy just as much! :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! We went to some friends last night for dinner. This morning daddy got up and went fishing and was back just after lunch. Now, daddy, H and B are all napping and I am getting some cleaning done...well, and blogging too! :)  We have some friends coming over tonight for dinner and to watch some basketball! How about the Big 12...Baylor and K-State! I would love to see them both in the Final Four! Who are you cheering for...if you watch!?

you are beginning to think you are a BIG girl. you.are.not! you are still a baby...mommas baby, daddys baby. you CANNOT sit up on your own...especially in your tub!!!

It doesn't matter how hard you try...and you DO try with all of your might!

You might get some help from momma or grammie...

and even more help from your big ol' daddy...

but you CANNOT do it on your own...even as much as you want too! But your sweet daddy will pull you on up just to see that big smile!

momma will hold you up in the tub so you can watch your feet!

 But the ONLY way we can get you to be still anymore in the bath tub...is you get you a wet wash cloth so you can suck off the water! Sounds completely gross and it COMPLETELY grosses out your daddy...but what do we do?! You think you can sit on your own...but you are still a BABY!

I have not idea how we will handle you once you are mobile! You wiggle more than any baby I have ever seen! I am so ready to see you crawl and walk, but I love this stage of your life and want you to stay my baby forever! I look forward to the future with you baby girl...just do not let it go too fast! Ha!

first walk and a canvas...

Last night we took our first walk around the neighborhood as a family of FOUR! It was how I always imagined it! And that may sound REALLY crazy to some people, but when you pray and pray and pray for a baby for so long, you think about the craziest things...and this was something that I so looked forward to doing! It was really warm outside, but windy. Hadlea was good, but started getting hungry towards the end. Berkley loved every.single.minute. I am pretty sure he smelled every mailbox in the neighborhood! Ha! This was the only picture I got. A memory I will have forever. God is so good!

I had a few of you ask about the canvas I was ordering from Canvas People that I wrote about here. It turned out SO good! I LOVE it! more from our time inside...

Just a few more pictures of our time trapped inside...the snow is all gone and it is supposed to be in the 70s today! I think it is so interesting to look at blogs from all over the world just to see what the weather is like at a given time! While we were having a foot of snow, some of you were playing outside, and while we were playing outside the other day, some of you were getting inches of rain! So strange! :) Anyway...I really enjoyed the time spent inside all weekend, but I am so ready for the Spring weather and taking Hadlea on her first walk...and Berkley too, of course! I have made the statement, "I cannot wait to take her on a walk" so many times and Berkley runs and sits by the front door! We have to spell it out now...w-a-l-k! I know how it will be to spell in front of her once she is older...we did the same in front of my nephew and now he is old enough to spell! :) Maybe tomorrow's pictures will be of our first walk...or so I am hoping!
