best friends and a thinker...

I worried so much about what Berkley would think of Hadlea when we brought her home! I also worried that we would put Berkley on the back burner once we brought Hadlea home, as so many people told me that he would not be as important once we brought the new baby home...but Berkley doesn't even give us that chance. He is obsessed with Hadlea! If you are holding Hadlea...you are holding Berkley! Ha! If she is in her swing or play yard and she starts crying, he runs over and tries to get a peek of what is going on. Once we get over to see what she is crying about, he will start jumping at your leg as he wants to see her. We have to pick him up and let him get a quick view, and then he is happy. He LOVES to smell her, and we TRY to keep him from licking on her, but he gets one in every once in a while. Justin and I make sure Berkley gets play time every night. Hadlea usually has her last feeding around 9 or 10 PM and while one of us is feeding, the other plays with Berkley. We make sure he is good and tired before bedtime! Ha! So this is normally what my lap looks like throughout the day...

I am beginning to think that Hadlea will be a VERY deep thinker! She sleeps like this most of the time or constantly has one finger in her face! Ha! It always makes me laugh and wonder about the future...will she be like her daddy who NEVER studied one day in his entire life or like her momma who studied for HOURS for every test she ever took! Only time will tell...but I cannot wait for the future with this sweet baby girl!
