Dirty & Precious

These two things, however, have nothing to do with each other. This is one dirty little dog...which happens to look like this 3 hours after a bath and haircut trip to Petsmart! Lets just say he got another bath after his fun outing in the mud puddle!

And this is precious! He must have had a LONG day after two baths and his mud puddle adventure. Its a good thing he has moments like these...because if he didn't, he would be back in Missouri where we found him! :) Okay...only kidding! I believe Justin would kick me out before Berkley went anywhere, but the feelings are mutual!

Walking & Tired

Berkley and I have been going on 3 mile walks the past couple of weeks. He always knows when we get back to our yard and runs for the front door and to his water bowl. This always gives me a good laugh!

Painting, Decorating & a 1st Birthday

This past weekend seemed to be a weekend of projects! My mom arrived on Thursday and started painting my laundry room while I finished working. We have to go through our laundry room to get to our garage so it gets alot of use. The walls were white and needed some major help! It is amazing what a coat of paint can do!

Before

After

Thursday evening while my mom was finishing up the second coat in the laundry room, I start painting our spare bedroom. I have been wanting to paint it blue for some time. Justin, however, wasn't exactly excited about the idea of a blue room. He still isn't too fond of our green office...but, he never questions anything I want to do in the house and gives me free reign to do as I please...as long as he doesn't have to help, which I am totally okay with! :) My mom finished painting the first coat on Friday while I worked and then we finished the second coat after work. I LOVE how it turned out.

Before After Of course I had to add a picture of Berkley!

On Saturday mom and I went shopping. We needed to pick up a few things for the bedroom plus a curtain rod. I have been trying to think of new ideas for my bedroom. Justin had bought be some feathered sconces for Valentine's Day, but I hadn't found the perfect place for them...until now. I have also ALWAYS wanted a chandelier in my bedroom. I had no idea that Hobby Lobby even sold them, but I found it and couldn't wait to get it hung! I am so excited to finally have all of my house together!

Thanks for all of your help this weekend, mom. You have been a part of every paint project in this house, and I couldn't have done it without you. I love you.

On Sunday, I headed to Medford for a sweet girl's 1st birthday party. I cannot believe that Katelyn is already 1. She was so cute! Happy 1st Birthday Kate...we love you!

Weekend with Riley & Hannah

This weekend we had Riley and Hannah. We picked them up on Friday night and stayed at our house then Saturday we headed to Medford to stay a night. Sunday was my Grandma Kilian's 80th birthday party. It was a great weekend with the kids...and a great weekend for my side of the family to get to see the kids again. As Hannah said it, "we just love your family"...and so do I!

We always have a such a great time with the kids. Of course like most kids, they have unbelievable imaginations!

At our house, we played Ninjas...

We played with toys...
We tormented Uncle Justin...

And at Steve and Deana's

Hannah baked cookies and made hamburgers with Deana... Riley played with his LOADS of tractors...Everyone joined in on some Wii...
They both jumped on the trampoline...
Mr B LOVED running around with this stick...
And after a FULL two days of fun...we had some sleepy kids!

Girls weekend in Kansas City + 1

So while Justin and Michael were in Texas having their yearly fishing adventure, Berkley and I drove to Kansas City to stay with Shannan, Kennedy, Brynlee and Ms Mazie. Berkley did great on the drive! I made him a bed in the passenger seat and he slept most of the way. Sometimes he would need a breath of fresh air...

Kennedy was very excited for the ALL girls weekend until she found out Berkley was a boy...after alot of convincing, she decided it was okay for Berkley to spend the weekend too! ha! Berkley and Mazie were again fast friends and spend the entire weekend wresting, playing tug-of-war with Brynlee's socks and very little sleep!

While the dogs were very content in playing with each, the rest of us girls had a GREAT weekend! I got in Wednesday night and planned to work from Shannan's house on Thursday, but due to some computer issues, I could not get connected. So I took the day off Thursday. Shannan and the girls were home so we spent the day playing, watching movies and taking naps! KK wanted to try on a dress I had so we took a cute picture!

Friday we made it to the mall for some shopping, manicures and pedicures. Saturday we went to another mall and got in some more shopping. We also squeezed in the marry-go-round for KK.

Saturday night we got a babysitter so we could head to dinner with just the two of us. It was no nice to catch up in person! After dinner we met some of Shannan's co-workers. I headed home on Sunday and was VERY sad to leave! Only 3 more years and they will be back in Oklahoma. I hate to wish-away an entire 3 years of my life, but it will be GREAT to have them back HOME!

Recession Dressing

I follow a blog called Kelly's Korner. Kelly always has great stories and fun ideas! She is challenging some of her fellow bloggers to share ideas for shopping with less during these hard times. Some of you have posted stores I have never heard of...so of course, I have book marked them! I found a store awhile back called GoJane. They are always having sales, but their shoe prices are too good to pass up! They have the cutest little summer sandals. They also have a coupon for free shipping with a $50 order! If anyone else has ideas on reasonably priced stores, don't forget to share!

Weekend in OKC

Justin and I made our way to Oklahoma City this past weekend. We met up with my brother, Jake, and sis-in-law, Sarah. The boys headed for the Outdoor Show so Sarah and I headed for the mall. But first, we stopped off to meet my friend Jessica for lunch. Jessica was my maid-of-honor in my wedding and one of my very best friends from high school! It was great to see you Jess! (And I know that Jess is a frequent flier to my blog because I told her I was leaving for Kansas City this week and she said, I know..I read your blog!) Hey...atleast someone is reading it! ha!

And this is how we rode to OKC! YES! That is Berkley on my shoulders while I am driving! He loves to go for a ride, but he much prefers Justin's truck. He can sit on the console of Justin's truck and see out. So I guess he has to get high enough in my car to see out. If he isn't sitting on my neck, he is wining...and that gets old, FAST!

After shopping and the Outdoor show, we headed to Eischens in Okarche. I had never been to eat their famous fried chicken, but even after a 3 hour wait, I will still agree that it is the BEST.CHICKEN.EVER!

And so I am now off to Kansas City! I am REALLY not looking forward to the four hour drive, but it will be well worth it! I cannot wait to see Shannan and the girls. And I am sure Berk is SO ready to see Ms Mazie again!
